Ahhh Epiphanies great things they are, when the “baseball bat of Life” finally hits you and the jigsaw pieces actually fit.

I was listening to  Get it on by Grinderman this morning – Friday 28th May, just an ordinary day, nothing special as I was getting ready for work and then it suddenly hit me
It’s so bloody obvious and I already had the knowledge – I had used it before and had forgotten about it, how we all get so distracted by the drama of life ( I just needed reminding again, it’s great when you are clear and just know what the next step is)

100% responsibility for everything, no blaming – now that’s a good one as we all love to blame, whether it be a lover, friend, husband, them (out there) the government or even God, it’s so good to blame, though that doesn’t get you anywhere, and the “same old shit just keeps a happenin’ ” what about a more radical approach 100% responsibility instead?

When I first heard this – my first reaction was what the hell?, how do I do that?, the concept has been banded around for years and I never too much notice as I didn’t understand how I could implement it let alone get my head around the idea.

As we are all supposed to be one I’m just part of the collective consciousness

Making my way through life …

  • either at one with it
  • scared of it
  • fighting it
  • or sometimes winging it not sure where the hell I’m going

With all the greatest will in the world I’m actually good at follow through and setting goals, but lately I had become disillusioned with life (see my posts Digging Deep and Death and Butterscotch) – there had to be more to life than this.

I see myself as a spiritual person with lots of common sense, pretty grounded and loving but I was literally physically, mentally and emotionally falling apart – so I’ve been having a dark night of the soul and started digging and since that time over the last 4-5 months I’ve been slowly figuring out more jigsaw pieces to my life and they are starting to fit into an inner orderly place

How to

The following is an excerpt from Ho’oponopono .org  – 100% Responsibility and the possibility of a Hot Fudge Sundae

So how do I get that across to people — that we are each 100% responsible for problems? If you want to solve a problem, work on yourself. If the problem is with another person, for example, just ask yourself, “What’s going on in me that’s causing this person to bug me?” People only show up in your life to bug you! If you know that, you can elevate any situation, and you can release there. It’s simple: “I’m sorry for whatever’s going on. Please forgive me.”

You don’t have to actually say that out loud to them, and you don’t even have to understand the problem.

That’s the beauty of this. You don’t have to understand. It’s like the Internet. You don’t
understand all this! You just go to the Divinity and you say, “Can we download?” and the Divinity
downloads, and then you get the necessary information. But because we don’t know who we are, we never download direct from the Light. We go outside. It’s an inside job.

If you want to be successful, it’s an inside job. Work on yourself!

Ho’oponopono is really very simple. For the ancient Hawaiians, all problems begin as thought. But having a thought is not the problem. So what’s the problem? The problem is that all our thoughts are imbued with painful memories, memories of persons, places, or things.

The intellect working alone can’t solve these problems, because the intellect only manages. Managing things is no way to solve problems. You want to let them go! When you do Ho’oponopono, what happens is that the Divinity takes the painful thought and neutralizes or purifies it. You don’t purify the person, place, or thing. You neutralize the energy you associate with that person, place or thing. So the first stage of Ho’oponopono is the purification of that energy.

Now something wonderful happens. Not only does that energy get neutralized; it also gets released, so there’s a brand new slate. Buddhists call it the Void. The final step is that you allow the Divinity to come in and fill the void with light.

To do Ho’oponopono, you don’t have to know what the problem or error is. All you have to do is notice any problem you are experiencing physically, mentally, emotionally, whatever. Once you notice, your responsibility is to immediately begin to clean, to say, “I’m sorry. Please forgive me.”

See easy peasy

  • I’m sorry
  • Please forgive me
  • I love you
  • Thank you

Yeah I know, you feel an idiot saying that… I thought I would too… but after a few minutes it make perfect sense and it felt good, it’s just your ego talking it likes to stay in control…. (god forbid you actually want to change things for the better) You don’t have to mean it either; trust me that just comes with practice

I first found about ho’oponopono through Joe Vitale and his Zero Limits book, which I’m reading again as I said earlier it helped me a lot before – always trust my intuition so I’m back looking at it again. Then I wanted to write this post

The process is just cleaning everything – anything that comes up, a reaction, a feeling that doesn’t sit right anything – you can do it anywhere…  the cleaning… as you become like a clean slate (as we all hold on to so much crap… we really do!)  I’ve used this technique before, to good effect as I’m not particularly well at the moment, this process is really important as I’ve been hanging on to some pretty intense stuff and I just need to let it go (I’ve doing this over the last couple of days and I’m feeling better.

The other great thing is no matter what the problem is, it’s not about the situation or another person, it’s about you, so that’s where the responsibility comes in.. if you are present when it happens (funnily enough you always are) you just clean it, simple… it gets you out of your ego as it’s so easy to go off on a tangent about this and that.. all the stories we tell about everything, we all do it all the time 😀

Now what I’m saying here sounds a bit weird especially if you’re not spiritually inclined – Joe Vitale’s book Zero Limits describes this too (He’s rather funny) and he thought it was well all a bit strange, but the point is, it actually works and I know I’ve used it enough, it basically boils down to loving and forgiving yourself.
I know a lot of people deep down don’t like themselves or feel good enough it’s almost endemic today, so you can toss this post out off the window or you could give it a try, no one needs to know, as it’s a personal thing between you and the Universe. Life is like a great big mirror showing you what is happening.

I had lunch on Friday and on my way back in the sunshine strolling through my town I cleaned a situation that was bothering me – I felt so much better for it, it doesn’t have to be a big ritual thing, I clean when I feel the need, You can clean almost anything, because it’s not about “them” or “it” it’s about you and your feelings/reaction to it.. You don’t need to analyse it to death just clean it and your perceptions and attitude to whatever you are looking at changes. You may get inspiration/an intuitive hunch or go off in a different direction –  but you will have moved your energy and things will start to change – the outcome is not really up to us, wanting a particular outcome is just the ego talking again trying to control everything. I’m not saying this is the only tool to use to help yourself and ultimately everyone else too, it’s great to have it in your tool box. I use many strategies at various times dependent on what feels right to use. Work in progress and all that….

I’m also working with Tom Verbroekken who is coaching me at present – what a godsend this man is!
We are also working with the Sedona Method/Release Technique and Matrix Energetics

Tom says about the work he does:
I work with people who want to make big changes or achieve some big results such as losing weight, getting into a relationship, or starting a business that are struggling to make it happen fast enough. I help them create an action plan and stay super focused so that they make the changes or achieve the results that they want faster than ever before.”

This blog post is about exploration, and finding more peace as that is what my life is about, peace and passion 😀
